Admissions
Prospective parents are welcome to visit our program most weekdays by visiting our office between 9:15 to 11:15. Please call for availability. We are happy to share our program information, show you our classrooms, and answer all your questions. You are also invited to bring your child with you during this initial visit as long as he or she is in good health.
Infant Care
Our part-time infant care is planned for the care of six infants, ages 4 to 18 months, with our two loving and experienced caregivers.
Toddler Program
Our part-time toddler program provides care, socialization, and education led by three teachers for twelve children ages 18 to 30 months, or developmentally ready to enter the nursery school, each weekday. Our enrichment class is offered between 9:00 a.m. and noon with enrollment choices including Mon- Fri, Tues-Thurs, or Mon-Wed-Fri. There are also options for early arrival, lunch, and nap time before and after class as needed, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., at an hourly charge. We follow the traditional calendar and holiday breaks of San Diego City Schools.
Nursery School
We approach children as unique individuals who are curious about everything. Teachers, really, are trained providers. We listen to understand what children are asking and what they want to know. We respond by surrounding them with books, tools, and materials to discover their own answers. What adults call play is really a child’s work. Every day they are eager to get to work and see what they can discover. If we can keep children asking questions, we know we are reaching them.
Extra Care in Nursery School
St. Mark’s School provides parents with options for care fitting many schedules.
