Toddlers Program

raise-your-hands[1]

Our toddler program provides care, socialization, and education led by three teachers to 12 children ages 18 to 30 months or developmentally ready to enter the nursery school each weekday. Enrollment choices include Mon-Fri, Tues/Thurs, or Mon/Wed/Fri options. We offer options for full-day (8:30-3:30) or part-day (8:30-12:30). We follow the traditional calendar and holiday breaks of San Diego City Schools. (Please see our calendar page).

Our play-based program addresses toddlers’ developmental needs (physical, emotional, social, and cognitive skills) through a variety of intentionally planned activities and ongoing projects. Each day these enrichment offerings consist of circle time (quality literature), art and sensory activities, snack and cooking experiences, music and movement, loose parts, and a variety of open-ended materials. While children are immersed in play, they build important social skills, learn to listen and respond, and cooperate in a small group setting.

Open 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays:

  • Serving up to 12 children to 3 teachers
  • Ages 18 to 30 months
  • Full (8:30-3:30) and part-day (8:30-12:30) options
  • Three schedule options: M-F, Mon/Wed/Fri, or Tues/Thurs
  • Developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Play-based, Reggio-inspired environment
